Ive been in Atlanta all my life, and Im proud to be a part of what makes Atlanta what it is today ... a thriving and exciting place to live. Pete is known throughout the area as a major factor in the landscape of todays land development and homebuilding industry.
A graduate of Vanderbilt University in 1961, Petes career began as a Flight Test and Structural Aircraft Test Engineer. After six years testing aircraft for Lockheed, Pete decided to make a career move that would completely change his vocation.
I took a position with a real estate broker in Atlanta who handled Cousins Properties. My first task was to sell lots to builders. Shortly thereafter Petes responsibilities evolved to a point where he established retail sales programs with real estate agents, participated in land planning and played a significant role in designing the floor plans to suit the neighborhoods he represented. By 1977, Pete had been awarded the Baron award by the Dekalb Board of Realtors and the Phoenix award by the Atlanta Board of Realtors. In those days, that was quite an accomplishment.
Taking his experience a step further, Pete developed his reputation as the man to come to when a builder needed lots. Naturally, the next phase of his career took him into development, when he started a Grading Business and began developing land. About this time, Warren, his son, was graduating college and joined Pete in the business. Their combined resources drove the business forward when they simultaneously developed land into subdivisions and built single-family homes. Gwinnett County was booming, and the business took off. As the demand for developed lots grew, the primary focus shifted to land acquisition and subdivision development. Among the list of customers for their land are national merchant builders and local custom builders.
Today, Pete focuses his time managing the operations of the real estate department and the land development division. He spends free time flying his airplane and enjoying time with his wife Jennifer at their home in the Florida Keys.
