Bill Noland grew up in Atlanta and graduated from Emory University. Following school, Bill went to work for Atlanta Federal and worked in the area of residential lending. Atlanta Federal then became Georgia Federal, which later formed a subsidiary company with the intent to either buy and develop land directly or in the form of joint ventures with existing customers. It was through this vehicle that Bill and Pete Jolly first met and worked together.
Bill moved to Decatur Federal and continued to form joint ventures with builders and developers to find and develop residential properties. It was here that Bill formed his two most lasting relationships: one with Warren Jolly who had just graduated from Auburn University, and the other with Burl Horton who was in the process of making the Torrey Homes corporation the largest residential homebuilder in Georgia.
When Decatur Federal was merged into another financial institution, Bill went to work directly for Torrey Homes and concentrated on land acquisitions first in Atlanta and then, as Torrey expanded, in both South Carolina and North Carolina. During Bills tenure with Torrey Homes, he was able to maintain his friendship and business relationship with Pete and Warren Jolly through the purchase from them of both land and lots.
Shortly after Burl Horton sold Torrey Homes to a national homebuilder, Bill came to work for Jolly Development Corporation. Since that day in 1999, he has been working with Warren Jolly in the acquisition of land as Jolly Development has grown and expanded. In addition, Bill handles related matters for Jolly including contracts, the development of covenants and restrictions and other matters that require interfacing with various attorneys.
